The sun has come out!
This shot (four of five) was taken on the 4th of July at sunset. Just before this picture was taken the sun had been obscured by a thick cloud layer. Throughout the process, I held out hope that the sun might pop out under that lower sliver of sky below the cloud, which it finally did. Fortunately, this sunset and the corresponding twilight that came after it was so spectacular that people spontaneously applauded. Who needed fireworks, we had a natural light show!!
