Soil Test
A) The type of soil at my site was loamy silt.
B) The soil allows moisture to be in the area for a longer period but the flow of water and nutrients may not flow as far or distributed as widely as needed.
C) The types of organisms around the area are grass, a couple of weeds, and a couple of visible earthworms.
D) The earthworms allow more of the water and nutrients to flow into the soil. The grass and weeds allow for the soil to be more firm.
E) The soil in the area was not eroded. However, if there was a large amount of rainfall or many days of rain, the only areas of erosion would be in the slightly slanted areas of the area. Majority of the area is flat and not very steep. There would not be much of an effect.
F) It is important to think about soil texture because of the possible watershed, the different types of organisms that may be affected due to days of downpour, and the different types of nutrients for the soil and plants' growth/survival.
