Playa Flamenco
Sorry for the long absence from Flickr. George and I went on a rather long vacation to Puerto Rico and have picked up extra shifts at work since I've been back covering for sick co-workers.
I've never been to Puerto Rico before except during layovers on my way to other Caribbean destinations. I was blown away by some of the beaches there - like this one, Playa Flamenco, on the tiny island of Culebra just off the Northeast coast of Puerto Rico.
The timing of this vacation wasn't ideal because I was often worried about Jimmy (who, it turns out, is actually doing very well) but as I floated in the water at Flamenco Beach I focused on feeling the warm sun on my skin, appreciated the crystal clear water and white sand, blue skies... Truly, my idea of paradise.
