It's the little things... like being greeted when I come home.

18/52 Now that George is retired and home during the day, the cats get to spend more time outside which means I get greeted in the parking lot instead of at the front door. This might look like a dangerous "little thing" but since I work a very early shift there are very few cars around when I get home.

BTW If you have both a cat and a dog you may not want to use Advantix (flea and tick control) on your dog. Its active ingredient is permethrin which is effective on dogs but unfortunately very toxic to cats. Yesterday, a client accidentally applied the dog's Advantix to her cat, realized her mistake and rushed the cat to our vet practice. Twenty four hours later, Milo still has nearly constant muscle tremors and occasional seizures. Even with intensive care, the first 24-48 hours are very touch and go and the fatality rate is relatively high. If the symptoms are gone after 48-72 hours, recovery is usually 100% with few or no side effects. After doing some research online last night, I saw that Advantix boxes have a universal warning that the product is NOT to be used on cats (a drawing of a cat with a line through it), however, it seems the surest way to prevent this accidental poisoning is to just not have the product in your house.
