Age before beauty (1 of 2)
This week's Happy Caturday challenge is to post two pictures from our archives. I've chosen Peanut (the aged) and Zelda (the beauty).
Peanut is the oldest cat in our practice. He is 23 and bless his heart - looks every day of it. I spent a fair amount of time helping him look good for this photo - brushing his fur, cleaning his chin and ears, and finding a perspective that didn't show his boney body. Amazingly enough he pretty much acts like a normal cat - he sleeps a lot, eats, likes sitting on laps, is fairly spry and doesn't even need any medications. I am very fond of Peanut. Most people like kittens. It turns out I like geriatric cats.
