Prince Charming
Prince Charming has had a most unpleasant couple of months. He was blocked twice, meaning he couldn't urinate and then re-blocked a third time, which meant his owners had a tough decision to make. They should either euthanize him or have a PU surgery (perineal urethrostomy) done which is both invasive and expensive. Prince Charming's owners elected surgery and I'm so glad they did. I don't think I've ever met a sweeter cat or better patient. He never once lost his temper no matter how often we "pilled" him, inspected and flushed both his intravenous and urinary catheters, syringe fed when necessary...
Prince Charming has fully recovered and hopefully we won't see this charming Prince until next year when it's time for his annual exam and vaccines.
