Dark Vengeance Salamanders Space Marine Sergeant
Some alterations have been done to the original Dark Vengeance sgt.
Switched the plasma pistol to a basic bolt pistol. The Dark Angel icons were filed and x-actoed off and replaced with Warhammer Dark Elves' Cold One's claws from their raptor like mounts. I'm still refining my greenstuff scale sculpting. But this one came out semi-satisfactory. I would probably highlight it a little better and give it another hint of color to break up the same greys I used for the chainsword and bolt pistol.
The paint style for the green armour was deliberately used from White Dwarf 368 Island of Blood issue. Where Joe Tomaszewski's Non Metallic Metal effects on Marneus Calgar is a great inspiration. And ode to the 1st Space Marine chapter, I used the Disciples of Caliban painting scheme tutorial from the same WD issue. I always liked the darker green of the Dark Angels to paint my Salamanders. And just to give it a little something I concentrated a little more detail on the chainsword.
