Kathryn's cheesecake for Home Economics

A little story perhaps.

This reminds me of a brick, the textures and lines of the filling cement.

Have been looking and talking about food lately. The building blocks of life.

Food can be a love, hate relationship. Food has been described to me as fatal recently whilst others buy techology to make the most of their food calories.

In contrast, many in the world do not receive any where near enough whilst our own UK supermarkets have put in recent legislation to overcome the vast waste; by changing the labelling on food packets to best before, as apposed to use by, to get around the huge amount ot food that could still be eaten but discarded.

I liked the tones and textures of this picture, the shades enhanced by picassa.

Not a normal picture I would post. Photographically a bit mundane but with some words to think about behind it.

Kathryn enjoyed making this for school. And it was the best cheesecake, soft, creamy and light that we have ever tasted, against the cold, plastic tasting varieites found in many supermarkets.
