Jota C. says: This vacant chair in the middle of the busy street is by itself an awkward found. The use of a slow shutter speed to capture this scene allows us to create a stronger story - one of giving up, or of abandoning, or of going unnoticed by everyone around.

Jota C. says: We can see she’s talking to him but he is literally absent minded and dreaming with a golden car. Were the glass bright clean and we wouldn’t see the ghost figure, just a white haired man having his snack and taking a look at someone behind the counter. I wonder what will happen if we rub the fogged window. Will a genie appear to brighten up their conversation?

Jota C. says: A wide range of examples on what one should not do when shooting faces. I find it quite amazing the amount of strength and emphasis the boy's little piece of visible face gains with this mistake.

Jota C. says: The overall darkness and composition create a certain fragmented illusion that one has firstly to overcome. But when the shot begins revealing itself, the lhs overcrowded with cinematic eyes establishes various and interesting dialogs between the roughly drawn face, the unaware man walking and our own look.

Jota C. says: Nothing is happening in the center of the shot - except for an original patchwork of corrugated metal sheets and coloured linen. When our eyes linger around the collage, we suddenly get surprised by a pair of sneaking foxes. After that, the tree branches take us to a not least surprising and peculiar floating cat - that could almost go unnoticed.

Jota C. says: Finding out the several laughing ghosts hidden on the stains spread around the picture is a great surprise. And this unexpected discovery is precisely what reinforces the contagious easy going and happy mood of this gathering of people.

Jota C. says: Just a few millimeters to the right and the sun would have been eclipsed by the dog, wiping out the wrongness of shooting straight into the sun. But the energy coming from this shot is strong and warm precisely due to the "mistake". We can imagine the dog running and jumping to catch even the sun after you throw him the ball in that direction.

Jota C. says: Was this shot too soon? Too late? I risk saying: shot right on time! This white page is simply perfect to trigger any story and also to close this gallery.
