Liberty_Tree_Block_Combat Zone-02
"The Liberty Tree Block", 630 Washington Street at the corner of Washington and Essex Strs. Built in 1850 by David Sears. Near the site of the Liberty Tree. Sources state the Liberty Tree relief on the facade is wood; executed by messrs Winsor and Brother ship carvers. While it is now painted and my photo isn't clear enough; I'm fairly certain it's brick. Rumor has it that a previous owner ripped out load bearing walls in an effort to get it condemned. Taken with my Ricoh KR-5 circa 1995.
