Approximately 265,000 attendees from various nations including China, South Korea, United States, Japan, and more participated in the Naha tug of war as part of the Naha Charter minced Festival Oct. 9, 2016, Okinawa Japan. The Naha TOW minced rope holds the Guinness world record of being the largest of its kind, at 1.5 meters thick, weighing approximately 40 tons, nearly 200 meters long, and requiring 15,000 people to pull during the pulling competition.
