Extreme Makeover is another television show that promotes negative body image! On this show, an average woman is taken and transformed into a "beautiful" swan. Plastic surgery, rapid dieting & a whole new wardrobe are part of the new look. Why can't we all just be different and beautiful the way we are? Why is a transformation necessary? We see these people becoming 'pretty' via drastic measures which applies pressure on the rest of us to do the same.
