Sprint Cat 24 - Al "Mombo" Pombo at San Jose Fairgrounds Speedway apprx summer of 1978. This night, Al broke the Track Record for qualifying speed for Super Modifieds at San Jose. Al shown getting the congratulatory kiss from the Speedway Queen for this saturday night. Note the trophy in their hands - signifying the top qualifiers over years past.
