For my string picture, I found a long piece of string in my kitchen that can be used for kitchen purposes. I knew I wanted to tie it around something, so I noticed on my kitchen chair there's like criss-cross strips of some hard material. I wound the string numerous times under and over the strips until it looked sort of like a web. Then I placed my camera on my tripod, and zoomed in as much as I could and only focused on the string to produce a shallow depth of field. In Photoshop I played with the colors until I finally liked how the colors look, added contrast and brightness, and reduced the shadows a little bit. I chose this picture because I liked how you can easily see the knot and I like the color scheme of this photo.
