The final upload of this quartet of turds and thankfully this one didn't require as much polishing as the other three. Another shot that's been sat on the shelf for years, and to be honest it's not much more than a record shot, is this one of 37418 'An Comunn Gaidhealach' at Brora on Monday 6 July 1987 working 2H62 12:00 Wick - Inverness. I had travelled north with my mate from Poole a couple of days earlier with the intention of travelling to Wick and Thurso as we'd never travelled over the Far North line before. So, having travelled to Inverness overnight on the Sunday night behind 47648 on 1H01 23:25 Edinburgh - Inverness we continue north on the first train of the day on the Monday morning; 2H61 06:35 Inverness - Wick hauled by 37114 'Dunrobin Castle' and 37415. We successfully accomplished what we'd set out to do, reach Wick and Thurso by rail, and for two 19-year old lads from South West England the Far North of Scotland seemed a long way from home.
