Architects Serge Chermayeff and Erich Mendelsohn 1935. Surely one of the most dramatic (and most photographed) light fittings in the world. Designed by Erich Mendelsohn and modelled after the pendant lamp he designed for the German Metal Workers Union building (Haus des Deutchen Metallarbeiterverbandes), Kreuzberg, Berlin in 1930.
