squiggle kaleidoscope
A 3D Mandelbrot Set fractal rendered in FractalWorks, a free, high performance fractal renderer for Macintosh computers. You can download fractalworks and try it yourself at the FractalWorks download site.
This image is based on Kent's "Fractalworks plot Nov09mmb1b" image, which is titled "?" here on Flickr. I zoomed in on a different area, adjusted the colors some, and changed the height and steepness settings for a different effect. I also converted the image into a kaleidoscope with a Photoshop action I created.
