Whites Castle, 15th century fortress in Athy, Ireland
Whites Castle tower house was built in 1417 in County Kildare by Sir John Talbot, Viceroy of Ireland, to protect the Cromaboo Bridge over the River Barrow and the inhabitants of the Pale. On the right of the doorway is the Earl of Kildare's coat of arms, signifying the Earl's ownership of the castle in former days. It is now a private residence.
