Wolf Creek Valley, San Juan Mountains, Colorado

Wolf Creek is a stream in the mountains of southwest Colorado for which the Wolf Creek Pass is named. The pass is very steep on both sides (6.8% grade) and can be dangerous in winter but has beautiful views all year. When descending the west side of the pass, there are spectacular views of the scenic Wolf Creek Valley floor and the San Juan River.
