El Castillo, Tulum Mayan ruins, Yucatan Peninsula Mexico

Tulum is a Pre-Columbian walled city which served as a major port for the region. It sits on a 12-meter (39 ft) cliff, on the east coast of the Yucatán Peninsula on the Caribbean Sea, and is one of the best-preserved coastal Maya archaeological sites. It was built by the Maya civilization around 1200 AD and was at its height between the 13th and 15th centuries.
