Fuji EX-1

by redmidea

After reading comments about the Fuji colour rendition, I wanted to see for myself. These photos are from Fuji. The duller photos are jpg's taken direct from camera. The brighter photos are post-pro'd y me. IMHO, Fuji renders highly accurate colours, better than most other brands. But colour is subjective: the most accurate colours are not always the preferred results for most people: most people want vivid colours. The untouched jpg files indicate to me Fuji has chosen accuracy over vivid, resulting in lower contrast and perhaps saturation. All cameras meter a scene based upon a standard grey. This would account for the overall subdued tones, especially for the white building by the sea. For the canal shot, Fuji has done an excellent job to eliminate moire in the balconies. Note: the post-pro'd images are resized for A4.
