Crossing the Tyne

66168 crosses the King Edward VII bridge with the 4E96 Mossend to Tees Dock intermodal.

 

The 1980-83 built Redheugh Bridge dominates the foreground. This is the third bridge to carry this name replacing an 1897 built structure which in turn replaced a short lived earlier bridge built in 1868-71.
