50049 and 50007 purr through Melkridge with the 1Z31 'Hadrian Hoovers' railtour.
The EE pair had made up time on the easterly section of the Tyne valley route but by this point had caught up with a Carlisle bound DMU and as a result seemed to be taking it pretty easy by this point. Pretty dreary weather with heavy cloud and a hint of drizzle in the air.
