Rugeley - St Augustines Churchyard
This tombstone in Rugeley's St Augustines churchyard makes for some very sad reading. It belongs to the Hine family. This side tells of the deaths of three children belonging to Richard & Prudence Hine.
John Hine - Died March 8th 1825 Aged 15 months.
Emma Hine - Died March 18th 1825 Aged 15 months
Lucretia Hine - Died March 20th 1825 Aged 3 years.
John and Emma were obviously twins. All three died within twelve days of each other. I've tried to find out what caused the deaths but can't.
