Blithfield Church - Staffordshire

Blithfield Church lies about one mile from the nearest road at Admaston on the B5013 road to Uttoxeter. The church site has had a place of worship since 11th Century and is mentioned in the Domesday Book. Architecture is partially Norman with some fine stained glass, ancient and modern. Also, many artefacts concerning the Bagot family whose seat is Blithfield Hall, next to the church. Wooden pews are 400 years old. There is a fine pipe organ, overhauled, modernised and enlarged in 1964.
