Dragon Gun (Royal Armouries Museum, Fort Nelson)
This is the mouth of a bronze gun cast in the elaborate form of a dragon. It was "captured" by the British at the palace of King Thebaw in Mandalay, Burma in 1885. A triumph of design over practicality which is still all too common today.
