HTD324K was s a Bristol RESL6L / East Lancs B47F new as Darwen Corporation number 2 in December 1971. Darwen Corporation purchased seven Bristol RESL6Ls with East Lancs bodies between 1971-1973. Local Government reorganisation on 1 April 1974 saw the formation of a new Borough of Blackburn. Both Darwen and Blackburn Corporations' buses were transferred to the new local authority. This bus was sold to East Staffordshire District Council in 1982, as their number 48.
