After a disastrous strike by staff, Central wanted to create new local identities. One of these was E.K. Chieftain for services provided by East Kilbride Depot. Very few vehicles were painted before much more drastic action was taken by the company. This was DD11 a Dennis Dorchester SDA806 fitted with 47 seat Alexander TC type coachwork, which was built in 1984.
