Blue Ridge Parkway Views June 28, 2015
I had some film left in the Lordomat after my Indiana trip, so I headed down to Floyd, VA for some inspiration. It was late in the afternoon before I got there, so most places were already closed up, so I headed down Route 8 to the Blue Ridge Parkway, stopping at Tuggle's Gap to get a sandwich for supper.
Stopping at Rake's Mill Pond, I enjoyed the patty melt while watching small fish jumping in the water. It was too shadowy to get any interesting photos, so I headed up the road towards Roanoke.
The weather was mostly clear, with dry air, and a lowering Sun, which makes for good views from the overlooks that haven't been overgrown. Traffic was light too, which is kind of strange on a Sunday, but it was supper time, so most folks were probably already home, or sitting in a restuarant somewhere.
