Up to this point I've had the lens set at f8, using the shutter speeds to control exposure. I opened the lens up to f4 to see how well I could get the focus on the sign, with the background being out of focus. After this I switched back to f8 until the next time I wanted to test out the aperture controls.
Colors seemed to saturate a little by opening up the lens.
