FDB340C the East Lancs Leyland PD2 which was new to Stockport Corporation in 1965 paused briefly at Crathorne, North of Thirsk. The road here was originally the A19 before the village was bypassed many years ago. It makes a useful place to stop and check you still have feet and fingers attached when driving buses on marathon journeys with no heat in December. The positive was a sharp reminder how far modern vehicles have come these days and how lazy they make us !
