Ever in search of the elusive non-pcv vehicle L100SFB was something a bit special. New to Strathclyde Fire Brigade as L726UGA the command unit it was basically a Scania K93 bus / coach chassis with various modifications fitted to a Leicester Carriage builders body. The K93 never sold well as a bus with only a handful built, perhaps a co-incidence was Strathclyde Transport taking three at around the same time as this was new, with east lancs bodies registred TIB8511-3. I've been told stories about this vehicle surviving after sale from the fire service around 2006/7 in private ownership..would love to know more via flickr message if anyone knows...
