Nocturnal Nectivore

This gorgeous marsupial, one of the smallest in the world, is the rarely encountered Honey Possum (Tarsipes rostratus). They are only mouse-sized and live amongst dense vegetation in the south-west, especially Banksia woodland, which produces the flowers they prefer to feed on. If you go out with a head-torch at night when pockets of Banksia bushland are flowering, you might be lucky to see one of these specky creatures!
