To stand on the balcony under the glass overhang, champagne in hand, in the performance interval in the warmth of a summer evening with the sea breeze wafting over you and the smell of the sea itself as you look out across the vast space, all the harbour lights and the massive bridge, is to stand on the bow of a great ship. And to dream of eternity ...
