Camera-Shy Squirrel

This was one of the first red squirrels we saw on our holidays... and it wasn't an easy one to photograph. It always seemed to stop to get some food where a plank of wood was obstructing it's head, or behind a wall where only it's tail was visible. As soon as I got the composition I wanted, it sped off, leaving a 'tail blur'. I got many 'tail blur' shots before getting this one. After that, it ran down the tree and into the forest at full speed. Some animals will do anything to make photography hard.......
