Flatiron building in Manhattan

When completed in 1902 it was the tallest building in the world at 22 stories.

It is surrounded by 5th Ave., Broadway and E23rd Street and was originally called the Fuller building after the construction company that owned it. But it soon became known as the Flatiron building due to its unusual shape that looked like an iron.

Almost a 50% crop with the Nikon 24-70mm at 70mm.
