this skirt was also copied from a store bought skirt, instead of cutting a giant half moon shape for a wrap around skirt, the waist has darts to take up the slack in the waist. the placket of the skirt is sewn to the inner panel, in the middle third, this keeps the skirt from opening constantly while sitting or walking.
