MickGPO says: The Royal Mail here hired these type of Bedford vans from a local Great Western Motors dealer in December months during the 1960`s era, to deal with the extra mail concerning the "Christmas rush". We needed extra vans to convey temporary casual labour usually University students out to deliver the Christmas mail with postmen around the town. The vans were blue like this example, with a ROYAL MAIL poster stuck at the top of the windscreen.
