Former SP Brooklyn Roundhouse in Portland twenty years ago- home to SP 4449, Nickel Plate 190 and other famous engines. Some snapshots from a November 2002 visit, Doyle was very cool about hosting visitors. Glad we did, it was torn down in 2012. A funny story about our visit- one of my traveling companions managed to lock the keys inside my rental car with the engine running! It took quite a bit of coaching over the phone to help the AAA guy find the roundhouse, which was not exactly on the main road!
