Ohmer register at SF Cable Car Museum
This rather elaborate Ohmer fare register is on display at the San Francisco Cable Car Museum. Back in the days of conductors collecting cash fares onboard the cars, recording fare registers like this one were used extensively in the electric railway field to try and ensure that all nickels collected were actually turned in. Patent dates on the nameplate on this one are from the 1890's.
