View of the Illinois Central Electric station and connecting walkways at Roosevelt Rd from ground level, July, 1988. At this point you could still see the remains of the platforms from the IC's mainline passenger terminal, Central Station. Amazingly, this old trestle and wooden station house would hang around for another 20 years before finally being replaced around 2008.
