Minneapolis 3-16-62 railway ice melter

Here's a harmless little toasty treat to keep you warm on a cold winter's night- a home-built ice / snow melter in use on the tracks at Minneapolis, 3-16-62. No doubt a precision-controlled mechanism. Northern Pacific heavyweight coaches make a nice backdrop.
