P&W Bullet 202 Norristown 1960 Scholes Photo

Philadelphia Suburban "Bullet" 202 crossing the Schuykill River bridge at Norristown, 1960. The car is passing over the Reading tracks and an interesting Railway Express Agency siding; the DeKalb St. station is in the background. Both the Reading and the Pennsylvania had lines competing with the P&W for customers travelling to and from Philadelphia. The station is still in use today, now part of SEPTA's Norristown Transportation Center.

This is a print I purchased from Cliff Scholes; Cliff sold duplicate slides and prints and had all kinds of amazing stuff (like this one). I purchased quite a few photos from him over the years (back in the pre-internet days). I hope he's still around selling them, but I'm not certain.
