BRT 1227 Shore Line Trolley Museum 3
The Shore Line Trolley Museum at Branford, Connecticut has an amazing collection of New York City transit equipment, including a large number of elevated / subway cars. This is Brooklyn Rapid Transit "gate car" 1227, built 1903, which was out and about during a June, 2006 visit.
This photo is a closeup of the motorman's brake valve (L) and the "elevator" type controller (R).
