Preserved Buzzard talon

We came across a dead young Buzzard on one of our walks. No sign of injuries other that what seemed like a broken neck. We think it might have flown into a tree trunk and killed itself!! How sad. We took it home and preserved the talons in a jar of salt and a dear friend then made them into keyrings for my partner. The feathers went to another friend who makes his own feather fletched arrows.
