Pacu Jawi
Pacu Jawi, (Cow Race) is an interesting cultural event held in West Sumatra villages near Padang, Indonesia. Pacu Jawi always held at a muddy rice field usually after the harvest season. The jockey rides a pair of cows or bulls while holding on only to the cow's tail. In order to force the cows to run faster, they twist and bite on the cow's tail. The two cows are loosely tie together making it that much harder to maintain a long consistent run.
