Pickering's Triangle.

Pickering's Triangle is part of the The Veil Nebula complex or Cygnus Loop, which is a supernova remnant located in the constellation of Cygnus. Many portions of which have acquired their own individual names and catalogue identifiers, in this case NGC 6779.The source supernova was a star 20 times more massive than the Sun which exploded between 10,000 and 20,000 years ago. It lies at a distance of around 2400 light years.
