Convoy In the Coniferous

Dear Journal,

I have discovered many things in my travels. Today I realized it is highly unwise to walk through the forest all on one's own - only to be growled at by a cranky polar bear you've disturbed in its den.

However, by the time I'd nearly collapsed in exhaustion from my snowy sprint, I crossed paths with a small group of travelers - and I thought to myself, "Surely this is a wiser way to traverse the wilds." And I had even better luck. The convoy leader happened to be an acquaintance of mine, one Holt Weaver, and his great beast, Bayen the Elemoth. The rest of the group consisted of a young family, two merchants, a minstrel, a dwarf, and a small troop of yetis who were migrating south for the winter.

Holt was most obliging, and let me ride atop of Bayen. You would think that anyone would jump at the opportunity to ride, rather than walk, but many travelers cannot stand the monotonous swaying gait of the great wintery pachyderm. However, since I have spent most of my life on the decks of an airship, the swaying felt quite natural and I rode in great comfort, out of harm's way, to my desired destination. I feel the rest of my trip will improve hereafter. I hope to bring more interesting tales to you soon.

Goodbye for now,

~Zenas Abbington

This was a lot of fun to build! I'm really happy with the trees and enjoyed the foray back into animal sculpting. Check out the Caribou and the extra pics of the Elemoth further back in my stream. Hope you guys like it!
