Neighbourhood Watch - 2/52
When we open the door to let the girls out, the very first thing they do is run to the back fence to see if anyone is in the park. If there is, they immediately sound the alarm.
This week's Creative 52 prompt was a portrait which showed their personality without showing their face. I had grand plans for the theme which didn't pan out, but this photo is one I've wanted to get for a while even though it isn't very exciting, as it is very much part of their daily routine.
I realize you can still see part of her face but you have no idea how hard it is to get Coulee to look away from me when I'm holding the camera. Me going into the yard with them = play time, so their normal routine isn't followed. I even threw a toy on the other side of the fence to see if that would get her to gaze out through it, but that just made her stare at me and bark. :) I had to wait quietly for more than 20 minutes for something to finally catch their attention out in the park and for her to turn away from me.
PS - The little black dog in the image is Coulee's sister Lacey.
