In Memoriam: DP the snapper
Kingfisher .... 'it's a long way down!' 1/3.
Taken at Worcestershire Wildlife Trusts Upton Warren Reserve.
I spent the day at the Reserve with my partner in 'crime' Microwyred (David). After a couple of hours or so we moved hides. We had only just opened the shutters and settled down when a Kingfisher arrived. It stayed less than a minute. We were chuffed to bits as apparently it hasn't been seen very often recently.
Another two hours or more passed and the only 'excitement' were Canada Geese and Gulls. Then the sun broke through, there was a flash of blue and our luck changed ......... and stayed with us for 45 minutes. We took quite a few shots :-)
I am afraid I may be 'forced' to post a few more in the coming days!
